Patients who are diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma often present to their physician with a large volume of ascites. Concerning neoadjuvant chemotherapy: A possible first treatment following diagnosis of peritoneal mesothelioma is systemic chemotherapy with Pemetrexed and cisplatin chemotherapy.
